NAO HUMANOID ROBOT

Today, NAO is the leading humanoid robot being used in research and education worldwide.

It was developed by Aldebaran Robotics,a French robotics company headquartered in Paris.Several versions of the robot have been released since 2008. The NAO  Academics Edition was developed for universities and laboratories for research and education purposes. It was released to institutions in 2008, and was made publicly available by 2011. Various upgrades to the NAO platform have since been released, including the 2011 NAO Next Gen and the 2014 Nao Evolution.

Ask him to do something and he does! For example, ask NAO to teach multiplication tables to your children, wake you up in the morning, monitor your home during the day or teach you new things whenever you want. You no longer need a keyboard, computer or mouse to communicate with technology. All you have to do is talk to it, and it responds!

imagine that he can learn to read your moods, so that he always knows the right thing to say; that he can recognize your family members and call them by their first names; that you can teach him your musical, food and film preferences.

It is equipped with many sensors: Tactile Sensors, Ultrasonic sensors, A Gyro, An Accelerometer, Force Sensors, Infrared sensors, 2 HD Cameras, 4 Microphones and high accuracy digital encoders on each joint.

It has two processors on board: an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz (The main computer includes SSD drive, WiFi, Bluetooth and wired network) and an additional ARM-9 processor in its chest.

ADVANTAGES
---Hands-on experience by connecting theory with practice to discover a wide range of fields linked to robotics such as computer science, mechanics, electronics or control.

---Inspiring a high level of motivation & interest for engineer careers.

---Fostering team work, project management, problem solving and communication skills

Technology has made a huge leap forward. Stemming from 6 years of research, NAO is one of the most advanced humanoid robots ever created. He is fully programmable, open and autonomous.

If you guys are planning to get this cute little humanoid inside your bed room, you have to spend around $9,500
